Doug and I were looking back at Carter's newborn pictures and found one that was taken when he was a few days old. We compared it to one of Ellie at one day old and it was amazing how much they look alike!
We came home today and were so happy to get out of the hospital. We all left just before noon and spent time together all day. Carter is adjusting well to being a big bro' and Kimberly is still feeling pretty good. I think we all are looking forward to a few days of relaxation.
We will be bunking it one more night at the hospital to make sure Elizabeth is alright. This is to monitor and prevent any infection due to the length of time Kimberly's water was broken. We definitely don't want to be back again after discharge like last time... Both mom and baby are doing great. Dad had the pleasure of letting Elizabeth sleep in his arms for about 2 hours tonight while Kimberly made calls and emails. We are both so excited to get home tomorrow!!
And it's a girl! 8lbs, 0.6 oz, 21-1/2 inches. Happy Birthday Elizabeth Mae!!! Labor began around 8:30pm Friday until 3:34am Sunday morning when this cutie stepped into the world. Great job mom!
Big thanks to Cari, Jen, and Annette for helping out!!!
